Children's Gear & Safety in Uganda

HomeBlogBlog Earlier, we talked about why it is worth giving your child to the climbing section. In this article, we will tell you what equipment a young climber will need. The first specific equipment that rock climbing begins with is rock shoes. At first, you can do without everything else, but not without them. Of course, you can rent shoes at the climbing wall, but if you practice systematically, it will be expensive. In addition, there remains the issue of hygiene and convenience. You can and should even wear your shoes without a sock. This way they fit better on the leg and provide better sensitivity. No rental shoes will be as comfortable as their own. How to choose climbing shoes for a child? For the smallest climbers, there are special children's models. The size in children's shoes is adjustable within two adjacent values, in contrast to adult models, where the step is half a size. Some models have an additional leather heel insert for added dimension. It is attached to the climbing shoes on a sling and can be easily pulled out. When the leg grows out, the insert  Children's Gear & Safety in Uganda into the scallop can be simply cut off. In other models, the allowance for leg height is made by means of an elastic insert on the sides of the shoes in the heel area. For older children, from size 33-35, you can already choose something from simple adult models. Look for climbing shoes with the most comfortable last and the least asymmetry. Many adult climbers, in pursuit of maximum terrain sensitivity, buy 1-4 sizes smaller, knowing that rock shoes tend to stretch. For kids, this story doesn't work! There is no need to injure the growing children's foot. Choose shoes of size in size, or even a little larger, the main thing is that they do not fly off and when the toe is loaded, the child feels the clues with his fingers. Firstly, this way you will not discourage the child's desire to study, because not all children will like to endure the pain from cramped rocks. Secondly, the small holds are already comfortable enough for a small child's foot. A small climber can resist on holds even in free rocks, and all the tricks with the accuracy of setting the feet in aggressive rock shoes are 4 sizes less needed for adult professionals, whose feet are many times longer than a minuscule hold. Choosing a children's bag for magnesia and magnesia The second piece of equipment that a child will need for training is a bag of magnesium. From the point of view of technical characteristics, there is nothing to say about the bags. This is absolutely a matter of taste. With or without a strap (on a carabiner), large or smaller, with a drawstring, Velcro or with a zipper - whatever the child likes in appearance and at your price, then take it. Manufacturers offer children's bags for chalk, which differ only in smaller size and design. In general, this is not important. If the child will be engaged in bouldering (climbing without belay at a low height), he may not even put the bag on his belt, but just keep it close to the track. Another thing is if the child will be engaged with a safety system, then the bag should always hang on the belt and it is worth choosing such a model so that it would be as comfortable as possible to climb with it. And, of course, a bag for magnesia without magnesia is meaningless. Magnesia for children is no different from adults. Therefore, you have a wealth of choice - a ball or in bulk. What's more convenient is again a matter of taste. Please note that only liquid magnesium is allowed on some climbing walls. Read more about the species in our article "How to choose magnesia." Choosing a safety system for a child The next step in rock climbing is going to a high climbing wall, where belaying is carried out with a rope, and in order to fasten to it you need a child safety harness. https://jiji.ug/childrens-gear-and-safety
